Big Tree Country

We are  presently in the beautiful big tree area and have enjoyed the forests and walks. Here we are in a giant tingle tree out of Walpole.

We visited the Valley of the Giants and did the treetop walk which was a little bouncy but gave us a good perspective of the size of these trees.

We also enjoyed a walk through the ancient empire on ground level.

Dennis especially was very happy to be photographed in this Holden replica ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

We moved from Peaceful Bay to this lovely park just south of Manjimup and not far from Pemberton. It's very picturesque here and if it was warmer, would love a swim in the spring fed pool. It's a huge apple, pear, vegetables and even truffle growing area so we are sure to find some fresh produce.

From here we've toured the Karri Forests and marvel at their majesty. There are three huge trees that the public are able to climb - just with spikes and a bit of wire to catch you if you fall!! Dennis got a few rungs up,  Tops and I never even contemplated climbing, but billy goat Darryl scaled the Glouster Tree (65 metres) right to the top and managed half way up the Diamond Tree before we encouraged him to come back down!!

You you see us circled from Darryl's view at the top. These trees were used for fire spotting until 1974 so that would be a different work site!!
All this trip I've had terrible troubles with the Blog app with things going wrong and me getting mad - so a big thank you to Tim who sorted me out with a newer version - so it may look a little different to the previous blogs. And special thanks to Trev who thinks he may have finally got our house free of mice & even the rat!! ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€. Imagine our house after weeks of being away and rodents running wild? We owe you heaps Trev ❌❌.
Tomorrow is a very important day for Tops and no doubt we'll spoil her rotten - hopefully with a prawn or two ๐Ÿ˜Š.  Our warm weather has disappeared and tonight we are very happy with our campfire!! Until the next blog, love from the happy travellers. ❌❌❌❌
